So I think it’s about time I fill you guys in on my life. Buckle up, because these last few weeks have been a WILD RIDE to say the very least.

March 1 – I started an Instagram challenge. This ended up being like the worst idea ever. The idea is great but the timing couldn’t have been worse. I’ve tried to keep up but my blogger bestie Sevi of Ware is the Vodka has done a MUCH better job than me haha.
March 6 – Did double duty as florist and bridesmaid for one of my oldest and dearest friends, Chelsea. These photos are some sneak peeks from the photographer, and let me just tell you, if you’re in need of an Austin wedding photographer, I highly recommend Kendra Michelle Photography. Super sweet and her photos are breathtaking.

That same weekend I was offered a part time job at a company that does all work remotely. This means I can work from home or literally anywhere I want. This really stopped me dead in my tracks. That being said, the universe has sent me TONS of signs lately to pursue my own hustles a little harder. Headbands are selling well on Etsy and at Zoomos Pop Up Shop plus I’m booking weddings and feeling more talented and competent than ever with Brennan Floral Design. This new job allows me way more time to commit to my own endeavors (ie flowers, headbands and this blog).
That Monday, I put in my two weeks notice. It was SO hard but sometimes you just have to do what makes the most sense for your future and I knew that joining Real HQ was helping to fulfill my life dreams. I’m sure there’s some kind of cheesy Pinterest quote I could put here about how nothing in life that’s worth it is easy or something.
The next two weeks consisted of me working like crazy to wrap up all my projects so as not to screw over my coworkers. Oh and did I mention my biggest wedding EVER (I think) was coming up the day after my last day at at my job. YEP.
March 19 – Last day at work + drinks & queso at Fuzzy’s + packing + driving to Fort Worth to prep for the wedding. Hardly slept that night out of sheer nervousness.
Our combo going away/happy birthday cookie cake!
March 20 – The wedding flower process begins! I’m not going to bore you with details but wedding florals are equal parts exhilarating and exhausting.
Here’s what I started with.
March 21 – The wedding day! Despite some unexpected challenges (that I should expect by now because they always happen) and inclement weather, the wedding turned out absolutely perfect! My pal Sevi was there to lend a hand and I REALLY could not have done it without her!
Thankfully Sevi snapped a few photos but we totally missed the opportunity to get good bridal bouquet shots so those will just have to come later!
March 22 – Got my car stereo installed (this was a CHRISTMAS gift so it was about time we got it taken care of), made 20 headbands and delivered them to Zoomos in Bishop Arts District, got my car washed and oil changed. THEN went to American Airlines Center with my husband and Sevi and saw the incomparable Stevie Wonder. I could go on for days about this concert but to keep it (semi) brief, he played Songs in the Key of Life front to back with a six piece horn section, four percussionists, five backup vocalists, a 10+ person string section, bassist, keyboardist and two guitarists. Then he brought out his DJ Alter Ego, DJ Tick Tick Boom, which was maybe the greatest thing that I’ve ever seen on stage. Next came my favorite Stevie Wonder song of all time, Living for the City and he closed out the night with Superstition. An unforgettable night, to say the very least. Stevie Wonder is full of more joy and life than any human I’ve ever seen.

The next morning, my husband and I drove to Austin to start my training. Which brings me to where we are now.
Phew. I told you a lot is happening. The good news is things are (hopefully) going to slow down some so I can spend some quality time on this blog, my own endeavors and self care. Life is crazy and awesome, so for now I’m just going to cling to my word of 2015 and hustle.
