Today is my last day in Chicago but I think we have really made the most of our trip and I can’t wait to tell you more about it! If you missed my Day 1 recap, make sure to check it out here. Day two was Memorial Day and despite me having to work in the morning, we still had an amazing time!

My husband and I took a Lyft downtown and tried to hit up one of his favorite spots. Unfortunately it was closed for the holiday so we opted for the next best thing – deep dish pizza at Lou Malnati’s! After some delicious pizza, we walked over to the parks, fountain and Lake Michigan.

Of course, I made my husband snap some outfit photos of me to share with you guys 🙂

Skirts and t shirts are one of my favorite travel combos. They’re easy to throw on, MUCH more comfortable than jeans but look more pulled together. A denim jacket and Nikes rounded out this outfit and kept me from looking too touristy. Maybe next time I should bring my fanny pack!

Shirt: Amazon ($25; exact) | Skirt: Shelley Bee’s Originals ($15 on sale; similar) | Shoes: Nike outlet ($30) | Necklace: Bauble Bar ($10) | Jacket: American Eagle Outfitters via Buffalo Exchange ($15) | Purse: Betsey Johnson via DSW ($20)

  1. Perfect comfy outfit for some downtown walking! I think skirts are more comfortable than jeans, too 😛 I’m definitely not a pants person haha.
