Thursday Threads | Girls Night Out Attire

This red bowler cap was a “hair emergency” buy in Austin and I looooove it. I try to reserve it for special occasions but I think once fall rolls around it’s going to be on heavy rotation. I was heading to see Magic Mike XXL (don’t judge me!) in this outfit with some friends, so I wanted to look cute for our girl’s night out but still be comfortable and cool in this Texas heat!

Enter: the long flowy skirt. This is one of the best items in my closet because a) it goes with anything, b) it’s a statement piece and c) I don’t have to shave my legs. I just throw on any shirt I want and BAM – I’m ready to go!

The only suggestion I have with a skirt that’s a longer midi is make sure to wear heels! One time I wore oxfords with this skirt and YIKES it was cankle mania! You can find that post here if you’re curious. If you want to wear flats, make sure your skirt is either knee length or full maxi!

Hat: H&M ($14; similar; similar) | Skirt: Poppy and Dot ($15; similar dress) | Shirt: Threadless ($15; exact) | Shoes: Charlotte Russe ($20; similar) | Necklace: Bauble Bar ($15; exact)
