If there’s one thing you need to know about me, it’s that I’m really not a sports fan. Now sports movies and documentaries, they’re my jam. But watching and/or playing sports? No thank you. So when I heard about the happy hour at Top Golf Allen, the idea of going to a driving range wasn’t all that appealing to me.
That being said, by the time I left I was THRILLED I made the trek out to Allen to attend (shoutout to Sevi for driving though). Not only is Top Golf fun for anyone (even athletically challenged folks like me), their wide array of food and drinks is enough to satisfy any foodie out there. The staff told us they don’t have kitchen managers, instead their kitchens are set up like French style kitchens with Executive Chefs, Executive Sous Chefs, Sous Chefs, etc. Some of the things I tried were mooshi (maybe my favorite, a combo of sushi and a Mexican burrito…so good!), their delicious house Sangria, a pesto steak flatbread, chicken and waffle sandwich, hatch green chile mac and cheese and one of the best desserts I’ve had in a while….donut holes that come with syringes of chocolate, raspberry and bavarian cream syrup that you can inject in to the donut holes. YEP.
Clearly the food was much more important to me than the golfing, but that was still fun too! I think the farthest I got was 75 yards but honestly, I was just happy when I actually hit the ball. Let’s just say I took a LOT of “practice swings.”
Warning: iPhone outfit pic ahead – I can’t seem to find my memory card for my camera…eek! I just wasn’t in the mood to wear a skirt and I hate shorts so I opted to cuff some jeans and pair them with an oldie but goodie shirt and some simple black sandals. I would typically wear this with boots in the fall but I think it worked for a summer evening too!
