ThredUP Review and Haul Video

thredup reviewIt’s no secret that I LOVE affordable fashion – chances are you do too if you’re reading this blog! Thrift shopping and buying secondhand is easily the best way to score great deals but definitely time consuming. If you’re going to hit up multiple thrift stores across town, expect to spend almost a whole day shopping around and to be exhausted! Enter: thredUPThink of it as an online thrift store where you can search and sort everything and you don’t have to dig through racks and racks of clothes. It’s every girl’s dream. I’ve ordered from thredUP a few times so it’s about time I do a haul video and give you guys a full review. Check out the video below to see what I got, then read on to get my full thredUP review!

Selection – Like most resale shops or thrift stores, selection is definitely hit or miss. I find that even though they have great brands, some of the stuff looks….eh. But hey, there’s something for everyone and you just have to click through some pages. Plus, if you know how to navigate the site you can easily work through the stuff that’s not as great.

Prices – Because everything is secondhand, the prices really can’t be beat. I’ve bought plenty of “new with tags” items for less than $7. There are also lots of designer items that you can find great bargains on, if that’s your cup of tea.

Quality – To me, the thing that puts thredUP above sites like Poshmark is the fact that each item is sent to thredUP and inspected for quality before it’s posted. It’s just nice to have a third party inspect the item instead of having to trust that the seller is telling the truth. (I hate to say that, but if you’ve been duped before you know where I’m coming from.)

Site Navigation – In addition to sections for each type of clothing, thredUP makes it easy to filter by size, style, brand, color, price and even condition! Only want “New with tag” items – just filter the condition and you’re set! Much easier than digging through a resale shop.

Returns – This time around I did my first return with thredUP and honestly, it was much easier than I thought it would be. One of my items just wasn’t for me, so I went through the online process of returning it. I logged onto my account, selected the item I wanted to return and selected the refund method. You can get a free shipping label and get refunded in the form of store credit, get an 8.99 shipping label from them and get refunded the difference to your original form of payment or use your own shipping label and get a full refund to your original form of payment. I feel like it’s my duty to tell you NOT to take the 8.99 shipping label unless you’ve purchased something insanely heavy. If it’s just a top or dress, shipping won’t cost you more than a few bucks and chances are your item wasn’t much more than $8.99 anyway! I just used some stamps (I have a LOT of stamps at my house) but something with a tracking number is probably safer and less than a week later I got the email saying my refund had been processed. I paid via PayPal and it was in my account right away – easy peasey!

Disclosure: This post wasn’t sponsored but I did receive a credit to purchase some of the items. Some items were purchased with my own money. Of course, all opinions are my own and I was not required to write a thredUP review.

  1. I love all of the clothing items you got on this haul. I love the blazer and remember eyeing it when it popped up at Target.

  2. Hi valery, I just used your link but it didn’t immediately give me the $10 off. Will I get that discount later or did it just not work? Thanks

    1. Hi Hannah! I’m so sorry about that – it should apply the $10 to your account right away. When you click the link, it should take you to a page that looks like what I’ve attached, then once you create the account you should see a $10 credit in the top right corner. Let me know if that works for you!
