Up until about a year ago, I didn’t own an A-line skirt. For some reason, they always felt too old-fashioned to me (I know, I was an idiot). Now it’s one of my favorite silhouettes! Admittedly I think it can make those of us who are more pear shaped look a little larger BUT they help slim the waist like crazy so I think it’s a fair trade. Just make sure to wear a top that’s fitted and/or tied at the waist so you don’t end up looking frumpy. I started out wearing a loose crop top and it was a BAD choice.

This skirt is SO lovely, it’s nice and long, the fabric is super comfortable and the white sections aren’t see-through so you don’t have to worry about wardrobe malfunctions! It looks like they’re sold out right now but follow @poppyanddot on Instagram because they might bring them back!

I wore this outfit on a 12 hour day, including a baby shower, a swim meet and four hours in the car. The long length of the skirt was easy to move around in without worry about flashing anyone but it was cute enough to feel dressed up at the baby shower. The perfect outfit, if I do say so myself.
