Summer Bucket List UPDATE

Alright y’all, it’s July 1 so it’s time to check in on that summer bucket list! How was your first month of summer? It’s been surprisingly mild here in the DFW weather-wise (which is a miracle), but I think we’ve finally made it to summer. Yikes.

Here’s an update on my summer bucket list (new additions are marked with an *)

-Weekend trip to a Texas city with the husband (still need to plan)
-Read five books (started reading one…yikes, better get on that)
-go on a picnic
-indoor fort and movie night (on the calendar!)
-make sun tea
-decorate our back patio with chalk
-see Paul McCartney live (sadly, he had to reschedule due to health problems so this is being postponed to October)
-try out five new restaurants (one down – Taco Diner)
-Putt Putt date
-learn to use my camera (took a photoshop class, planning to practice with my camera this weekend!)
-visit a farmer’s market
-Star Wars marathon
-Kaboomtown in Addison for July 4 fireworks*
-photoshoot with Lindsay Steele Photography (SO DANG EXCITED, Y’ALL!)*
-throw a baby shower for my sweet sister*

Dallas/Fort Worth area specific:
Dallas Arboretum
-Six Flags at least once during the summer
-Perot museum dino exhibit
-Shakespeare in the park
Cool Thursday Concerts at the Arboretum
White Rock Paddleboats
Taste of Dallas (July 11-13, 2014)

Okay, so the moral of the story is I’m not doing so well…which is why I’m writing this post! Time to get some stuff in the calendar and make it happen!

  1. Please let me know when you guys want to visit the Perot Museum! I may know somebody, who knows somebody 😉

  2. Haven’t been doing much this summer except working (boo) and reading (yay!) Get through 5 or 6 books a month. Goal is 50 for the year!
