valery-brennan-7045Feminine, whimsical, soft, graceful….none of these are words I would typically use to describe my personal style. I’m more of an eclectic, edgy, over the top kind of gal. But hey, everyone needs to change it up every once in a while and that’s exactly what I did with this look!

I’ve had a blush maxi skirt on my wish list for quite some time, but despite my best efforts I couldn’t find one that fit all my criteria and was budget friendly. I found one listed in some online Chinese boutiques…but…we all know what happened LAST time I tried to order from one of those places. If you don’t, click here to read the story because honestly it’s hilarious.

Thanks to the Forever 21 Contemporary line, I finally have the blush skirt of my dreeeeeeeeams. When it came time to style it for the first time, I was really feeling the spring weather and paired it with a crochet cream colored top I picked up from thredUP. I decided to take the risk and just wear a bralette with it and I think it worked out perfectly. The split back┬ájust wouldn’t be the same if I was wearing a tank underneath….although I must say, I will probably be investing in a lighter color bralette sometime in the near future for looks like this.

valery-brennan-7031valery-brennan-7098valery-brennan-7120I went a little accessory crazy but I kept them all in rose gold – since the entire look is very soft and feminine, I had to throw on my┬á rebel bobbi pin…gotta keep ’em guessing, right? Some lace up black flats and a blush colored bag and I was SET.

  1. VERY into this. It’s definitely different for you, but that also makes it work even better. Holy shit that photo of your hair and all your rose gold jewelry is like PINTEREST CRACK. Get it girl!

  2. I love this outfit so much! I am also learning about the F21 Contemporary line for the first time. Have I been living under a rock?!?!

  3. So I’m pretty sure I know where that park is, I just discovered it a week or so ago on one of my lunch breaks. SO beautiful, I wish they had this park where I live. Farmers Branch really keeps up with their parks/landscaping, etc. The willow tree! Just had to give the park it’s own shout out.

And of course, YOU! Gorgeous. I love how your hair matches your skirt. Since we all know how much you love to change up your hair, I’m glad you were able to pull this look off before you changed it again! And yeah girl, you can totally pull off this feminine, flirty, sweet style while also keeping up your grudge, edgy style too. Thereby making me once again jealous of your wardrobe!
