I cannot believe the week is finally here – Fan Expo Dallas is just a few short days away! At Fan Days this past fall, they announced 2017 would only have two cons so it’s been a longer than normal wait (typically there’s a February con too), but honestly I’m really excited about it and I think the wait will make it even better. They’ve got tons of amazing celebrity guests in store (Mark Hamill, Tim Curry, Eliza Dushku, Norman Reedus and Jeffrey Dean Morgan from The Walking Dead, and Stan Lee…to name a few!)
Disclaimer: I was gifted a watch by Thirteen.02 for the purpose of this post, but as always, all opinions are my own.

Welp, it’s that time again….Diversity Chic day! I sure hope y’all love this series as much as we do, because…we love it. And, in case you haven’t read any 2017 Diversity Chic posts, there are a few things you need to know! Here’s what Diversity Chic is all about:
Diversity Chic is a collaboration of Dallas bloggers showcasing current fashion trends on a variety of skin tones, hair colors, body types and heights. Each month we will feature a new trend tailored to our personalities and style.
Our focus is to explore the world of fashion in its unique, diverse, and stylish manner – one trend at a time.
What’s that? Two AMAZING guest blog posts in one week?! I know, so exciting I can hardly stand it. Today is really exciting because I’ve had a few people request some plus size fashion posts and today, thanks to Miranda from the Millenial Wife, we are delivering! If you are on the hunt for affordable plus size clothing, this one’s for you.
Miranda Nahmias runs a lifestyle blog for married ladies over at www.TheMillennialWife.com. She’s also an experienced virtual assistant mentor who loves helping women achieve their work-from-home dreams! Make sure to check out her blog and follow Miranda on Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.
Have you looked for affordable plus size clothing before, only to realize that most of the cute stuff is way too expensive? Or maybe even not your style? I’ve been there! It’s beyond frustrating!

Well folks, we’re in the last month of Quarter 1 of 2017! I’m honestly feeling really good about what I’ve accomplished so far this year. Have I been way too busy? Yep. Have I accomplished a lot? Tons. If you’ve never read a small goals post before, each month I link up with Nicole of Writes Like a Girl to set small goals for the month. It really helps me focus and decide where to spend the majority of my time. Even if you’re not a blogger I would highly recommend setting small goals!
Happy Monday, friends! Today I’m super excited to have Hannah aka The Outfit Repeater guest posting! If you don’t follow her blog, you MUST! She serves up some amazing thrifted outfits and has an amazing sense of style. Plus she has an affinity for the 80s and her collection of stuff is so enviable – eye candy for days. Make sure to check out Hannah’s blog, The Outfit Repeater, and YouTube channel for tons of awesome outfit inspiration and nostalgia inducing thrift hauls.
Take it away, Hannah!
Note: Today is technically supposed to be a small goals day, so look out for that post tomorrow!
How often do you roll your eyes at the cost of skincare products? For me, it’s OFTEN. Most of the time I don’t even buy “high end” products and I still hate how expensive they can be.
My ride or die moisturizer is made by Neutrogena and runs about $18/tub. I’ve bought at least five of these and until recently I had no intention of changing. That is, until Sally Beauty completely BLEW MY MIND and came out with a new line of Generic Value Products skincare. Here’s a video of me and celebrity hairstylist Gregory Patterson chatting it up about these new skincare products and giving a quick GVP skincare review.
