My weekend was kind of a drag because I worked every day. The way my schedule is, I actually have my “weekend” on Tuesday and Wednesday buuuuuut a few neat things happened this (actual) weekend so I’m going to give you the scoop!
1. I won free tickets to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens at Alamo Drafthouse this December! I can’t tell y’all how thrilled I am about this! My husband and I had already been talking about when and where to buy tickets, if we would have to camp out, etc and then….something glorious happened. May the Fourth, Alamo Drafthouse had an #AlamoJedi contest and Star Wars fans tweeted their best Star Wars themed photos to try to win tickets. Thank goodness I had some awesome blog photos to contribute and it totally paid off. Just to let you in on a little secret, my husband was SO annoyed I made him take these photos but then they won us Star Wars tickets soooo he had to eat his words…hah. Also the movie comes out on my husband’s birthday, so I’m basically the best wife ever.
2. My husband got a 3D printer and he’s been printing like a mad man! I don’t want to give anything away, but we’ve got some awesome stuff up our sleeves so you’ll probably be seeing lots of fancy 3d printed jewelry on this blog very soon….you might even be able to buy some for yourself 😉
3. I made my first YouTube video! I’ve had this on my mind for a few weeks and after a successful trip to Ulta, I decided to just freaking do it. So I did it! My video is live so if you like it, give me a thumbs up or if you’re feeling REALLY kind leave me a comment and subscribe!
Honorable mention: The Scandal finale this past Thursday night. I’m not including it on my actual list because I thought it was a prettyyyyy lame finale. Maybe I’m alone but I was really underwhelmed…..I expect more from you, Shonda!
That’s about it for me this weekend. I’m usually off Sundays but I covered for someone this week so I will be thrilled when my Monday shift is over and I can start my weekend off right….with Jordan, Stephanie and Sevi, taking photos for our next installment of Diversity Chic!
