As you’ve probably heard me say a million times….I moved to Denver! The first thing I realized when I got here is it is dryyyyyy. Like, so dry. Especially compared to Texas. On one hand, it’s great because you sweat less but on the other hand, it’s hard to stay hydrated, especially when you add altitude into the mix! AND I’ve been more active (hikes are great, you guys!) so hydration has been a top priority for me. Recently I’ve been reaching for vitaminwater – it tastes awesome and keeps me hydrated.
While I was chugging some vitaminwater, I was really inspired by the colors of two of my favorite flavors, rise and power-c. During the summer (and year round), I tend to wear lots of black and white but we all know fashion inspiration can come at the weirdest times (even when you’re drinking vitaminwater, apparently). So I challenged myself to step outside my comfort zone and try to incorporate pink and orange into a look I already own.
A fun skirt and plain tee or bodysuit is my favorite thing to wear during the summer (you probably already know that from this post), so it was the perfect starting point for this look. It’s comfortable, easy to pull together and looks super chic for any occasion. If it’s date night, throw on heels! If you’re headed to a farmer’s market, wear sneakers! You can also accessorize easily or change up the look with your makeup! I went with a casual bodysuit and maxi skirt and brough in color with my accessories.
Thankfully I already had these gorgeous tassel earrings, so I just added a coordinating lip! I used two different shades, hot pink and then a bit of orange in the middle just for fun. I also did a bit of pink and orange eyeshadow to tie everything together.
Hydration is so important, especially for people with active lifestyles! vitaminwater is a great way to keep your body hydrated without sacrificing taste – they have so many awesome flavors! Also I’m all about the vitamins and electrolytes! I grabbed mine on one of my (infamous) “Target runs,” you can find vitaminwater on the same aisle as soda.
When you pick yours up, make sure to take a “shelf-selfie” so you can save some money! Here’s what to do:
- Go to Target (duh!)
- Take a selfie in front of the vitaminwater shelf (check out mine below!)
- Text the photo to 89000 to receive a hidden Cartwheel offer link for 15% off a 20oz vitaminwater!
