February Small Goals

It cannot be February already. I refuse to believe it.

Okay yeah, I believe it. But it’s really unfortunate because January kicked my bootyyyyy. I actually got a lot done and accomplished a whole lot – unfortunately most of it didn’t line up with my small goals. Eek. In case you’ve never read a small goals post before, each month Nicole from Writes Like a Girl hosts a linkup for bloggers to share a few goals for the month. Make sure to head over to her post and get inspired by all the other small goals! Let’s review my goals for January:

January Small Goals

Happy first small goals post of 2017! This officially marks the start of my 2nd year doing small goals and I’m honestly so excited – my small goals last year really helped me stay focused and achieve my goals. This month’s small goals post comes a little late because the first Monday of this month was reserved for the word of the year. If you missed that post, you can check it out here. Otherwise, it’s time to chat about January small goals! Per usual, I’m linking up with the always lovely, Nicole. Make sure to check out her small goals post and while you’re at it, read a few others who linked up! Here’s a look at my December goals:

December Small Goals

dec-small-goalsIt’s the last small goals post of the year! I’ve gotta be honest, I’m really proud of myself for keeping up with these goal posts all year. I’m so thankful to Nicole for starting this link up, otherwise there’s no way I would have made it. Having these small goals has made it much easier to achieve so many of my 2016 goals (which I should probably review here pretty soon, shouldn’t I?) We all know December snuck up so let’s stop talking about it, and start reviewing November’s goals!

November Small Goals

Photo by Taylor Gardner | Dallastyle

Oh boy. Is it really already November? Yikes. The other day I was complaining about Black Friday sales being announced buuuuut I guess it’s coming up pretty quick! This month is going to be another crazy one but I PRAY it’s not as insane as October was. This past weekend I tried to do absolutely nothing and it was glorious – the five weekends prior to that I was booked solid so my mind and body were both seriously exhausted. I’m really hoping taking some time to recharge will have me back to my best self. Let’s review how last month’s small goals went!

This Brazilian limeade cocktail is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth but thanks to the inclusion of the lime rinds, you still get some of the delicious bitter lime flavor. Click through for this easy recipe that is delicious year round, whether you’re trying to keep cool or you’re dreaming of warm summer days.

Happy Monday! If you’re like me, you had a very fun but VERY busy weekend. I already know that tonight I’m going to want to sit back and relax and (if you’re over 21), sometimes that means having an alcoholic beverage! Unfortunately I’m pretty prone to hangovers so I tend to avoid drinking on weeknights. Adulthood is rough! I was just introduced to I Never Too Hungover and I love it! I really can’t afford to lose a whole day in bed just because I want to have a few drinks with friends the day before and Never Too Hungover totally solves that dilemma! Drinking Never Too Hungover Prevention before an evening of drinks helps prevent hangovers the next day (recommended for up to 7 drinks), and drinking Boost after drinking will help you recover.

5 Tips for the Perfect Road Trip

perfect road trip
My husband and I both work remotely, which means we take lots of road trips together! We don’t have any long road trips on the agenda for the next month or two but we are always traveling in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to discover the best new restaurants and things to do! The DFW Metroplex is really large so traveling all the way across it can take up to an hour and a half – definitely a road trip in itself! We made a day date out of roadtripping through Dallas to visit some of our favorite spots – first we hung out at Vitruvian Park, we went to see Ghostbusters at Alamo Drafthouse (yes I wore a Ghostbusters shirt to see the movie) and then afterwards we ate dinner at Bistro B!

5 Ways to Practice Self Love and Feel Your Most Beautiful

This post was sponsored by Vera Wang Fragrances as part of an Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review.

vera wang embrace 31The last few weeks have been a lesson in self care and self love for me. Since February, I’ve been struggling with a weird pain in two of my fingers and my wrist – I’ve been to a normal doctor and a nerve specialist and neither of them could give me a straight answer. The pain was starting to affect my daily life – I haven’t blogged in the last week because the pain was so severe. My self esteem had taken a nosedive and I was so frustrated it brought me to tears. It was really affecting every part of my life.
