Happy Monday, y’all! Is there anything better than a makeup look that packs a big punch with just a few products? I really don’t think so. This classic look only takes three eye products and can be worn by anyone to any occasion annnnnnd it’s made up of Rimmel eye products you can easily grab at your local Target! This has become my go-to look lately and I’m not sad about it at all. (Three products!)
1. Prep the face
Every makeup look starts with the right face makeup, all through high school I only wore eye makeup and I could never figure out why my face never looked “finished.” Turns out, evening out my skin tone with a BB cream or foundation makes all the difference in the world. I used the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer and the RimmelLasting Finish Foundation (one of my all time favorite foundations). Once those dried, I finished my face out with some translucent powder and warmed up my face with a tiny bit of bronzer.
2. Accent those brows
I LOVE the Rimmel Brow This Way Powder Kit, it comes with a wax and a powder that you can customize to your liking. It also comes with a spoolie to brush your brows out and a two-sided brush so you can use one side for powder and one for wax. Genius. I used the wax first and then filled in a few spots with the powder – super easy!
3. Line those eyes
I didn’t use any shadow for this look but if your lids get oily, I’d put some powder or a neutral shadow on your lid first. Then, use the Rimmel Colour Precise Eyeliner to create the perfect wing. I usually draw across the eyelash line first, then draw the wing. My biggest tip is to keep the tip of the wing as thin as possible, start with a very light line and then trace back over it as needed. Now, the shape of your wing is going to depend on your eye shape – I use the angle of my lower lash line as a guide for mine (the angle of the wing almost looks like it’s coming out of my bottom lash line). I LOVE this liner, y’all. It’s super easy to work with but insanely pigmented. Lately I’ve been trying out more brush liquid liners and I don’t even know why…felt tip is where it’s at and this one is a winner.
4. Line the lower lash line
Use an angled brush or smudge brush to lightly line the lower lash line. (You can even use a q tip if you don’t have a brush that will work.) The powder in the Rimmel Brow This Way Powder Kit is perfect for this! It’s a nice taupe color, which is exactly what we want. You’re basically creating a shadow underneath your lashes, so nothing too severe, I start at the outer corner of my eye and go in about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way in.
Do whatever you’d like! The beauty of this suuuuuper simple look is you can go as neutral or dramatic as you’d like…whatever you’re feeling that day!
Since you’re wearing dramatic liner, you want those lashes to really pop too. Rimmel Volume Colourist Mascara is great because it’s really easy to build on to create tons of length and volume. But…the best part about this mascara? Over time, it will gradually tint your lashes! That’s right ladies, those blonde lashes can be dark all the time, even if you’re not wearing makeup! Your bare lash color will intensify with every application and you should see results after 2-4 weeks.
This is after 2 weeks of use on my eyes and I’m continuing to see results the more I use it! You can definitely tell my lashes are darker and look more voluminous, even with no makeup on!
