Y’all…last night was the Southwest Bloggers Society Fall Fashion Show, hosted by Tootsies featuring some lovely 2014 fall trends! I was one of the “models” (that term is used very loosely in reference to me…) along with some of my other favorite Dallas bloggers. Thankfully I wasn’t the only inexperienced one, but let me just say that thanks to some confidence, support from the audience and some amazing clothes from Tootsies….we (t)WERKED it.
In our regular ol’ clothes (whatever, we still look cute!) Stephanie and Lindsay are fab, so glad to call them friends!
Runway ready! Clearly I went for a more casual look than these babes.
The trend I chose was knits – which is honestly something I don’t normally gravitate toward. I like sweaters just as much as the next gal (probably less, actually) but I wanted to step outside my comfort zone a bit. I wore a short sleeved knit sweater, grey tank and some killer acid wash jeans – all from Tootsies. Then I paired it with accessories and shoes that I already had from home.
Here are all the trends covered last night and I have to say…I’m really excited to see some of these pop up this fall! If you’re not sure what to purchase to have a chic fall wardrobe, any of these trends would be a great start. The nice thing is, a lot of these trends are something you probably already have in your closet or can easily mix and match with items you own!

Not only was the event super fun, I got to spend some more time with the blogger friends I’ve made and get to know some new ones! (I’m looking at you, Courtney!) So stoked to be part of a community of hilarious, fun-loving people. I would also like to give a special shout-out to Sevi for cheering us on and making us feel super loved! You know it’s a good night when your phone dies and you’re not even worried about it.
