First off, let me apologize for only having good photos for one of my Two Way Tuesday outfits this week. This girl totally forgot that Daylight Savings time means it’s pitch black by the time she gets home from work soooo that sucks. The good news is, I’m throwing in an extra outfit for you so this is really THREE looks with one piece
Today I’m showcasing my herringbone puffer vest! Yes, I already did a Two Way Tuesday with this vest but that was before I actually owned it! Plus that just means there are tons of ways to wear this vest so I WON’T be apologizing for that.
Everyone who has ever been on Pinterest knows you can wear this vest with a chambray button down and statement necklace. Don’t get me wrong, that’s a super cute way to wear this vest it just doesn’t really scream “Valery”… if you’re reading this blog for preppy looks you’re in the wrong place. 🙂
This first look was a work outfit from last week and I ran some Halloween errands after worked and missed out on sunlight for photos. I paired my vest with leather panel leggings and an oversized button down with skulls on it. It was super comfortable and perfect for keeping myself in the spirit of my favorite holiday! I added pearls and some lace up wedge booties to make sure it felt a little feminine but the leather and skulls still kept it edgy enough for me.
Shirt: TJ Maxx ($8) | Vest: Online boutique ($50) | Necklace: Gift | Leggings: Target ($8) | Booties: Charlotte Russe ($20)
Halloween was my dad’s birthday so Saturday we went to have dinner with my family and then my husband and I were planning to go to Fright Fest at Six Flags afterward. I knew I wanted to wear something comfy and warm to Six Flags, but I also didn’t want to have to deal with a coat. Insert herringbone puffer vest here.
I wore my thickest pair of leggings, tall socks and boots, a t shirt and a flannel button down with my vest to keep me nice and warm. Of course I also brought a hat and scarf along with me! I felt pulled together enough to go to a birthday dinner but also comfortable and warm enough to spend a few hours outside in 50 degree weather!
This last outfit was another work outfit with the vest. I threw on a midi length jersey dress and statement necklace, grey booties and my vest and walked out the door. The elbow length sleeves helped keep me from getting too warm but I love how the vest still helped me feel like I was dressed for fall! This was SUCH an easy and cute outfit, I’m really bummed I didn’t get photos of it. Curse you, Daylight Savings Time!!!
Alright friends, that’s all I’ve got for you for today! Later this week I’ve got my very first food post so get excited!
