I have to admit to you guys, this particular piece was a total impulse buy. I’ve been on a real sequin kick lately and I don’t really have a black blazer I like so I spent the $15 and let me tell you…it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made in a while! For today’s Two Way Tuesday, I’m going to show you guys two distinct ways to style this blazer – one casual and one formal!
Last Friday I took a trip down to Bryan, Texas – part work, part fun. I worked for a few hours and then drove three hours so I wanted to wear something comfy but still pulled together enough for work. I woke up and groggily grabbed a bunch of black stuff from my closet and it worked together perfectly!
Blazer: Secondhand; similar here, here and here ($15) | Shirt: JT concert ($35) | Pants: H&M in Amsterdam – I think these are the same ($10) | Loafers: Old Navy ($20) | Necklace: Flaunt Boutique ($10) | Lips: NYX Wicked Lippies in Immortal ($6)
And here’s a cute picture I took of my husband when I was testing out the lighting 🙂
This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending Fashion X Dallas on behalf of my friend Cris from My Fashion Juice (have your eyes peeled for my recap on her blog soon!) Needless to say, I was a little intimidated trying to decide what to wear. I had purchased that jumpsuit but I knew I needed a blazer to go on top of it and then I realized my new sequin blazer would be PERFECT! My sweet friend Stephanie of Geek Glam took these photos and I can’t thank her enough! Y’all make sure to check out her blog AND her new photography page on Facebook!
Blazer: Secondhand; similar here, here and here ($15) | Jumpsuit: Charlotte Russe ($20) | Earrings: Bauble Bar (similar) ($20) | Loafers: Old Navy ($20) | Lips: NYX Wicked Lippies in Cold Hearted ($6)
SURPRISE! I also wore the same shoes in both outfits 🙂
My favorite part about this second outfit is I kept getting compliments at Fashion X Dallas and I got to tell everyone it was less than $50….haha.
